Trim and Louvers

I came across some information about the physical designs of the Louvers and Bead trim for the Locomobile and Mobile Steam Autos. Mobile was an offshoot of Locomobile when one of the partners decided they couldn't get along with each other. I believe they built basically the same steam car.
And the following is from a Mobile Steam Car
The following images are a collection of images that I have researched on the internet trying to figure out the trim and louvers. I hope to somewhat replicate as best as I can the period correct features. My burning question is how did they glue these louvers on to the face of the Locomobile side panels and they have remained fixed for over 100 years!

And I even came across a Models Works Lykamobile this past week at Hershey PA swap meet. It was interesting to see how this builder made his trim somewhat period correct.
